The Bahá’ís of Southeastern Massachusetts

This is the changeless Faith of God, eternal in the past, eternal in the future. Bahá’u’lláh

Ayyám-i-Há, often translated as the “Days of Há”, holds deep spiritual significance in the Bahá’í calendar. The term “Há” is a symbol of the essence of God, representing divine mystery and grace. This special period serves as a bridge between the last month of the Bahá’í calendar, leading up to the annual 19-day Fast. Some principles guiding Bahá'is during this especially joyous period include:
Generosity as Spiritual Practice: Giving is not charity but sacred action that transforms both giver and receiver.
Preparation Through Abundance: The path to discipline (fasting) begins with generosity, not deprivation.
Community Over Individualism: These days emphasize collective celebration and mutual support.
Joy as Worship: Happiness, celebration, and pleasure are forms of spiritual practice.
